Our client, a dentist from Pennsylvania, suffered painful back injuries including herniated discs, discogenic disc disease and which caused him to become addicted to pain killing drugs. He moved to California, where he opened a drug rehabilitation center in an exclusive seaside community.

The insurer, armed with photographs of his rather gray looking dental offices in Philadelphia, along with comparative photos of his chic Mediterranean rehab clinic overlooking the sparkling turquoise Pacific Ocean, argued that he had grown tired of Philadelphia winters and dentistry, and had chosen instead to escape to southern California and to the business of treating addicted Hollywood movie stars and other celebrities.

Nice photos but not nice enough. Our evidence was insurmountable. The case settled for in excess of a million dollars.
